Winter Romance

It was late 2025
When I noticed you
Just got healed from a breakup
Then you came flirting through

Saw your nerdy side on our first night
Men who read are such a delight
There was something about your shy charm
That got me hooked, didn’t see any harm

And then came our second date
Sipping drinks, it was getting late
Telling stories, people to rate
You held my hand in a way I didn’t hate

Now the last scene of this winter romance
Happened on Christmas eve by chance
I wore red, you wore grey
Cruisin’ on your dad’s big bike on the highway

Looking back at it all, I had no regrets
Not until the new year came
‘Cause one of us began pulling away
Things both changed and remained the same
