Summer Passion

Just when I thought our story had ended
Came a message from you in the heat of the moment
In the form of a trailer you’ve told me the last year
What are you really trying to do dear?

Before March ended, we saw Rocky and Grace
You laughed, I cried, we enjoyed the same night
What a core memory—amaze, amaze, amaze!

April was…well, tasty
Your lips found its place in mine
My lips found its spot in yours
And I got more than what I bargained for
Downing and drowning in all of you

May was even spicier
After-work cardio, alone together
That night has been in my head days after
Nothing slipped in, just some fondling and rhythmic licks
I gasped, whimpered, arching with the messy mix

It all started strong, intensely, passionately
Then continued for a while as steady
And when I finally asked for some clarity
“I’m not fully ready”, said the boy who repeated history
