It sat on a marble table
A small box that has no lable
Decorated with beads and laces
Colored glitter on its smooth surface
A lot were curious, they wanted to see
The secret it holds but they don’t have a key
Got tired of the box, threw it into the sea
“It’s a waste of time. Just let it be.”
The small box was extremely strong
It fought with the waves but still has its beauty on
Soon it crossed paths with a fine young boy
Who kept it with a heart full of joy
Confusion almost knocked out his soul
Inside the small box which he claimed as his
Was a heart made of glass with dents and a hole
With a note at the back saying “Fix me, please”
